Criminal Defense
The Constitution of the United States guarantees citizens charged with crimes the right to competent representation.
The attorneys at O'Connor and Ryan have represented clients charged with serious motor vehicle offenses, including alcohol-related offenses and negligent homicide by motor vehicle. They also offer representation to persons or firms charged with federal criminal offenses, including allegations of "white collar" crimes.
Mr. Ryan is a former assistant district attorney and has defended serious criminal cases in both state and federal courts. He is qualified to accept appointment in first-degree murder cases in the state court and is a member of the federal criminal justice act panel of attorneys qualified to accept appointment in federal criminal cases. He has represented numerous individuals charged with first-degree murder and other serious felony matters. He defended cases in all state courts as well as presenting appellate arguments in the Supreme Judicial Court of Massachusetts and the 1st U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals.
Legal fees for criminal matters are determined on a
case-by-case basis after consultation with the client and review of
the relevant facts and circumstances.
